David Rushworth-Smith

WelcomeDavid Rushworth-Smith

David was born on the 4th July 1927, which was exactly the same day as several eminent people, including Gina Lollobrigida.  This was just before the first solo flight across the Atlantic ocean. David has observed (and also been involved with) some important international events.  From the age of four, David has had a personal desire to help others, and to be generous to those in need.  When he was 19 years old, David had a remarkable experience of religious conversion, even though he had attended church all his life, and soon became an outspoken evangelical Christian.  The following pages set out the main points of his long and interesting ministry, as a pastor, an author, a columnist, an historian, an expositor, a journalist, a book distributor, a tour guide, a film-maker, a social carer, a friend of Bethlehem, someone who has welcomed immigrants, and a researcher.

This web-site is dedicated to the ministry of someone who has been committed to the tasks he was called to undertake. The button titles above open the pages which explain about David's role as an author, a pastor, a columnist, an historian, an expositor, a tour guide, a journalist, a film maker, a social carer, a friend of refugees and immigrants, a distributor of books to poor pastors and students overseas, and someone who loves Bethlehem.

The little tree has been David's trade mark ever since he was engulfed by the wind of the spirit, in the Spring of 1947, in Western Park, in West Leicester, England.
